HYYRO is a community-driven peer to peer rental platform, it connects users with assets to those who need them anytime, anywhere. From a bicycle to your lawnmower, there are many items at your home that your community members are looking to rent and can generate extra income for you by renting them out to people nearby!
HYYRO members not only benefit financially but also directly contribute to the environment as well by reducing their carbon footprint and leading the world in driving the circular economy!
How can I hire & list my items?
What can I rent out on HYYRO?
You can post absolutely anything on HYYRO (considering as it aligns with community guidelines). You may be surprised at how much income you can make through our platform. Do you have tools lying around that you hardly use? Or maybe you have a closet full of clothes that takes up a ton of space? These are all items that you can post and start making an income from them.
How can I rent out my items and start making money?
As a matter of fact, you will be helping a community member in urgent need of an item, so keep your notifications on and let us nudge you when something comes up in your neighbourhood.
There are a lot of items that people in your community are looking to rent. You can list your item by “Request or List an Item” on the Requests screen or can simply look up items that are needed by other community members through the Requests screen and if you have that item available, tap on “CONNECT” to start communicating with the member to get the deal done!
How would I trust the person borrowing my item?
Hyyro members are verified prior to contacting you, the verification is conducted through our trusted payment partner “Stripe” by uploading their legal identification and a selfie/portrait to match, when a user is verified, you can see a (blue tick) beside their name.
Also, User star rating is a vital part of keeping us and other members informed of your experience and the experience you had with other members.
How can I contact the owner/ lender if I need help with the rented item?
With HYYRO’s in-app messaging system, members can contact each other at any time if need be. Simply go to the Inbox screen and select the user you would like to speak to. Please note, for the peace of mind of all our members verification is required prior to connecting with other users.
How would I know if my item will not be damaged?
Photos/videos and notes of the item/s condition will be taken at the start and the end of each rental. Users can go back to these notes to check item conditions to check for any damages to the item. Being a community platform commonsense and courtesy is expected in handling items belonging to others, please ensure you read the terms and conditions to familiarize yourself with Hyyro’s community guidelines.
What if my item is damaged?
Hyyro is a third-party platform connecting users to using our app, we understand that accidents happen, and sometimes it’s out of your control. If you experience a problem with an item, please contact the owner as soon as possible and work-out a solution as you would do in a similar situation with a neighbor and your civil rights. You can resolve any damage issues by paying for or negotiating repair costs and security deposits. Also, you can contact our dedicated support staff through the in-app Contact Support form (or email [email protected] ) to help you find a replacement for the remainder of your rental period.
What Happens If Someone Steals My Item?
As the owner of listed item, In the result of theft of an Item during a booking, you must file a police report. HYYRO reserves the right to file its own police report where it deems necessary. All party’s information is only shared with the appropriate authorities to resolve the investigation. Hyyro’s vision is to assist members in generating income from unwanted and redundant items, we advise you to insure your valuable items, and the deposit box has no minimum value and it’s up to the item owner to assess the appropriate deposit amount to cover the excess or the item value.
What if I want to keep the item longer?
Keeping the item longer is totally ok, as long as the owner is on board! Simply submit a new request for your new dates! If it’s available, the Owner will respond at their earliest convenience.
How Do I Get Paid?
Payments are processed through our trusted partner “Stripe” You will be paid for your items to your Stripe connected account within 24-48 business hours of your item(s) being returned. The funds will be deposited in your account; however, it can take a few days for them to appear on your statement. You will receive payment for your items less than 20% for the platform service fee, the deposit amount (if applicable), and the insurance fee (if applicable).
Do I need to provide my identity documents and bank details to start using the app?
Keeping our community safe and secure has always been a priority for us at HYYRO.
For the safety of our users, every new user’s identity must be verified by Stripe before they can connect, rent, and share items with other community members.
What happens if I do not complete my verification with Stripe?
Hyyro is free to download and browse, you have the full right to not get verified through Stripe. We use our trusted partner Stripe for ID verification and secure payment handling. The safety and integrity of our platform are crucial to building a trusting community. Without a Stripe account/verification, you can still sign up to be part of the community and view what is available but will not be able to list your items or connect with other community members to rent their items.
Do you keep my identification and bank details on your servers?
We do not store any of your identification documents, banking details, or credit card on our platform, the documents you upload, and supply are uploaded directly to STRIPE, a trusted leader in payment processing software to ensure your information is safe and secure.
Are my identification, banking, and credit card details secured with Stripe?
Stripe has been certified as a PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry. To accomplish this, Stripe uses the best-in-class security tools and practices to maintain a high level of security.
