So go on that bike ride, camping trip, experiment, try new things while saving on expensive purchases, BY renting them instead.

Our Story

The founders of HYYRO, Sam Arnaout and Jag Sekhon believe in a world where our experiences aren’t limited to the items we own.
We believe that saving the environment isn’t only about waste, but about experiences enjoyed while reducing waste. We post & share our experiences not what we own, and we wanted to help our community do just that without purchasing a new lawnmower, or splash on a branded item for one occasion, or buy a canoe for one trip, but instead Rent/Lease them, or buy/sell/gift pre-loved ones. We introduced HYYRO to enable our community members to generate a new source of passive income from using the platform individuals hiring and renting their items to each other, selling them, or even giving them away.

“A tent that has become a storage burden for one community member might become the best holiday experience for another”.

— Households, in particular, generate so much carbon emission footprint, that if everyone lived like an Australian, we’d need NOT 1 Earth! But 3 or 4 Instead.
< -- Another Fact, 87 % of Australians hold- onto pre-loved or unused items, generating unnecessary virgin materials waste.
–The good news is 54 % of Australians WANT to change their consumption behavior, this is where HYYRO comes in.
–HYYRO’s smartphone app gives you access to rent and share your items within your community.
From a bicycle to your lawnmower, there are many items at your home that members near you are looking to rent and can generate extra income for you by renting them out to people nearby!

Our Story

HYYRO’s Impact

01

Australian Peer to Peer Economy worth $15 Billion P.A

Financial incentive as owners get more out of underused assets, and renters may end up saving money.

02

1 in 10 Austratlians lacking social Support

Networking potential driving community connections and societal wellbeing.

03

Divert 1.2Millions tones of household waste

Reduced one-time consumption improving sustainability via material recovery.
HYYRO’s Impact goes above & beyond its monetised concept:
The more items traded, the better HYYRO’s impact. It will be felt by the reduction of Virgin Material demand and EOL Waste, Community Connectedness & Society Wellbeing.
HYYRO will be a key mover in bringing the circular economy into communities, which will not only help members financially but will be contributing to the environment as well by stimulating collaboration among item users.
Items will stay in circulation by re-using them within communities when their first owner not using them.
This circular economy model will cut down on production and end-of-life impacts, potentially higher impact in use due to easier access to the item. On the social part, HYYRO addresses isolation issues, from the view that a community that trades together, stays together.
Another benefit of HYYRO, which was the driver as a consequence of Covid-19 and Job-losses is both saving and generating income for members lending their items will make money while the others needing it, saving on the purchase by renting the item instead.
